Hot gossip – Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2009. The mini pageants took centre stage over the last week as the National Costume contest for the Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka 2009 was held at Mount Lavinia Hotel of Friday, 19th June. Amazing it was to see the creative thinking and effort that had gone into the creation of the beautiful costumes that were on display, as recognized by the judges of the event, Nadeesha Perera (Popular Actress), Azlem Hussain (Fashion Designer) and Brian Korkoven (Fashion Designer / Choreographer). The Grand Finale of Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka 2009 is to be held on 22nd July at the picturesque Mount Lavinia Hotel.
